Default Visconci 1973 cigarette & MSV........

I was on the powerboat archives and found out that Dominic Visconci besides his 36 Cig he raced in the early 70's also had a MSV hull designed by Miller/Saccenti. Anyone know of this boat or have any pics? Thanks Jeff

All the big guys in the open class missed the B.A. buoy and wound up in the Hudson river. Quack..Quack!

Sorry, the boat you are thinking about was a 44 foot MSV that was crewed by Jon Varese, Bobby Saccenti and Sonny Miller...hence the MSV name. That boat was called La Tortuga, The Turtle.

Dominic Visconi had another boat that was also a MSV that was 44 feet long. They were two different boats. I will be back up north next week, I will post the photo of Visconsi's boat.

Was this the raceboat that caught on fire in Atlantic City in the late 1970's?

On hand I have a picture of 'La Tortuga II' and the MSV 'Popeye' burning. Pictures uploaded.

I'm sitting across the room from Sonny Miller right now. He's the man to ask. I'll get him to answer/comment anything previously mentioned.

I thought the one that burned was a 38 MSV?
