Understand what air bags are and how to install but what ones to get. They have 2000lbs and 5000lb for the most part, is that all they can carry, or is that the added support they provide. Thinking about just doing manual pump ones. Have a F150 and tow about 9500lbs.

You will have nowhere near 5000lbs of pressure on your tail with an F150 and its tow rating, even though you are towing 9500lbs. Your tongue weight of your trailer is what will compress the airbag or anything in the bed of your truck. The airbag should add to the spring though.

I run the Air Lift on my 12 SD. Makes a big difference. Here is a picture without the bags inflated. Quite a difference.

BTW, go with the remote controller. No lines to run to the cab. It works great.

ok thanks for the info, have to think about it, seems as if im getting conflicting ideas on to do it or not, and if they arent ever really going to be used as in i never put anything heavy enough in the truck for them be compressed I dont know.
