Have the opportunity to buy 24p maximus for a 1993 lightning. Currently running 23p mirages on stock 502's. Any advantage to 5 blades? Fairly happy with the current setup just looking for some input.

You will probably lose 500-600rpms going to 24 Maximus props from 23 Mirages.

You will pick up 5 - 10 MPH crusing at 3500

whats your x or propshaft height? a 93 was a nonstep boat. so your drives might be too deep. a b1 24 might be better if your deeper than 4'' or x less than 17.I know a friend runs p5s on his newer 42.

You will pick up cruise!
Top speed may drop.
