I would like to replace the exhaust tips and fiberglass exhaust parts on my pachanga . The tips are recessed and i really dont want to modify to much to replace them. I had the boat sink on me suddenly a year ago and believe it may of had a burn through. which cuased the water to flood the bilge while underway. i haven't pulled it apart since having it gone through and the mechanic couldnt find the reason for what happend. any ideas on the tips would be appreciated.

Check out Dana or Eddie marine for tips. I see alot of the flush style oval tips that look like they would work well out there.

Did you get rid of the factory tips built in?

I still have the original tips and exhuast system on it. i still need to get in there and inspect the mufflers for leaks and change out all the hoses . i think i am going to install some flappers on the tips for now just to make me feel better this thing went under within 30 minutes and it wasnt any broken drive parts that cuased it. im sure i will figure it out soon

When I took off my mufflers I used an inline metal flappers.
You cut the 4" hose and insert it inside and put hose clamps around them. You can not even see them when they are installed. I had an extra set I sold on Ebay a while back.

If the exhaust did not sink it, the only other thing that can bring in water that fast is the plate the put over the exhaust where a Y pipe would go.

yea we checked that even the salvage guy that pulled her back up said he had to shut his pumps off becuase no water was coming in. then when i put it on the new trailer i did a quick check and it was dry as a bone . i dont know if these had any problems with the swim step leaking water into the bilge or if the penetration for the tilt switch wiring could have leaked. the wiring was pinched by the drive. the marine shop filled the bilge with water and tillted her back let it sit for a day and no leaks. so it happened while under way and on a plane, so i think it pumped the water in through a hose leaking under pressure or maybe a weak spot in the exhaust system, burned a hole in the hydrolift. i noticed that the exhuast manifold had some white powdery stuff on it so maybe it got hot even though the guages didnt show an overtemp condition. i will post some pictures as soon as i can figure out how.

My pachanga sank on me because of the low factory body seem around the swim platform. When I beached the boat it made the back in goat just far enough under that it was able to get water coming into that seem.

I thought about that what did you do to cure the problem?
