Vortech Power Packs 454/502 mpi reviews? is it worth 1000$? input please

I have a 97 formula sr 271 502 mpi.(100% stock) i was looking at this kit on vortech homepage. Has anyone tried this kit or know anyone who has. Was wondering about the results? I found guy for 960 shipped brand new? Was gonna try it out and try new prop.. Thanks

I picked up one of those kits years ago for my 252 Baja with a 502 MAG. Save your money. No gains for me. I had to add a cam, IMCO Powerflows and a prop before I picked up any MPH (even then, the gain was only a few MPH). A wise man once told me, "If you want a faster boat, buy a faster boat". I regret not listening to him.
