Default Looking to rent a house on Lake Norman

I'm looking for some help here...I would like to rent a house on Lake Norman in the middle of August. Anyone now of a good place or good part of the Lake to stay? Rentals?

I have two younger kids so house needs to have a beach and would like an area to ski and tube.

Also, is this a good lake to spend a family vacation, never been on it.

Any good bars or restaurants?

Thanks in advance for the help....

Here you go...

http://www.vacationrentals.com/vacat...-Carolina.html

South of HWY 150 is where you want to be. The closer you get to the south side of the lake the nicer / busier it gets. There are a few good bars / restaurants spread around the lake.
Google Rusty Rudder and Vinny's to start.

Its a fun lake, IMO good for family vacation but not boring by any stretch.

You might post on Boatfreaks.org. Most of the members on that board boat in that area. They may have some leads for you.

http://www.audralattimore.com/

Look up Audra. She knows the lake well, and has owned/run her own boats like ours for years. If she does not have any short-term rental listings, I am sure that she can offer some great advice.

Also check out www.VRBO.com
