Dave at innovation reconmends that i run 15-50 Mobil 1 in the motors that he built for me.

My question is realized when i got the oil home , i noticed that some of the caps where silver and others where gold and say extended performance on them. I have not yet put any of the oil in engines can i mix the 2 types of oil without causing any harm to the engines?

From what I remember the gold cap is a little lower on zinc and other anti-wear additives. The silver cap is closer the old formulation when it had a red cap. I would split them 50/50 if you are concerned. They should be compatible. Both are good oils.
