I'll never forget that run! I had my Dad on the phone (a Nokia 5160 to date the technology) with one hand holding on, and the phone behind my back so he could hear those motors sing. It became apparent that I needed both hands so the phone got stashed. Relatively soon after we were a good 15 feet in the air at some ridiculously high speed, and I remember the boat coming up to meet both Schuble and myself, firmly planting us both into crevice of the backseat.

As kids we would water ski out Haulover Cut, when the tide is going out and the wind is blowing in it can create 10'+ deep Crevices with 5'-8' waves to go with it. you would see the ski rope going through the waves and not know if the skier was still on it. Heck, when a Hurricane or tropical storm would come we would paddle out the cut in 10 man life rafts into 15'-20' Seas, made the news every time since we where the only idiots in the ocean in south fla.. good times at Haulover cut
