Looking for aftermarket sea strainer for Intercooler. Hardin makes a nice one $600.00 anybody make a good one for a little less money

does Teague have the fine mesh sand strainers ?

i like Teague but didnt like the strainer. It has all of those little wing nuts around the top that locks it down. looks like it might leak, i thought someone said to stay away from those type strainers?

I use the Hardin and they work great----yah they are expensive but never clogged my whipple low profile intercoolers again

did you use something previously or nothing?

Finishing my build, I have 2 new still in the box I would make a deal on, misordered somehow and received and paid for 4.

What exactly do you have? I am ready to make a decision. What would you take for them if they what i looking for.

I would recommend our standard 5" sea strainer (that will not leak if tightened)! We can build to any bug configuration and will strain out any material that would potentially harm your systems. We will build with allen heads or you can opt for wing nuts. Our screen design will allow a bit of sandy water to flow through, but will hold can cease any blockage!

This is my own personal opinion, but i do not trust the fine micron sand strainers. They are an awesome and clean piece, but i feel they can build up with debris and potentially block your water flow.

Either way, it is always a good idea to put a strainer of a force fed system. Especially an intercooler, because of if it cracks, you now have a engine full of water from a melt down.
