Default newbie needs some insurance advice

First question i had is do i need insurance on the boat i just purchased...right now it is not anywhere close to being water ready, but do i need insurance on it while i tow it from here to there from shop to shop getting everything fixed?

Secondly does boat insurance cover it while it is in storage in case any happens?

thanks
Matt

Hi Matt,

Give me a call, I need to get the details of your boat before I can answer some of your question. Each carrier has a different stance on boats that are "not seaworthy".

To answer your second question, yes, boat insurance covers storage and transit exposures as well as on water exposure.
