Default location to buy ujoint snaprings

I'm looking for a place to get ujoint snap rings for a late model xr drive with a 1.218" cap. the ujoints are good had to change the yoke and snap rings were rusty and lost their snap. Don't really feel like paying $400 for 2 ujoints when I only need $15 in snap rings

Go to Spicer. I'm sure they have what you are looking for.

go buy a $12 joint at the parts store, use the clips and throw the joint into the scrap iron bin.

Default snaprings

It might sound so easy as just going to an auto parts store but the widest I can find are about .050 where as the XR rings from Mercury are .080 so 2 rings would give me an extra .060 of slop which I dont want. I put in calls to ROTOCLIP and ARCON which are snap ring distributors and manufacturers but the price to custom make them pretty much outcosts the price of 2 new XR u-joints. And I also only need 4 not 100+

IMCO may have them. I bought joints for mine and they came with selective thickness rings. I tossed the leftovers but someone else may have kept them. Don't double up.
