Default Wired Remote in Anchor Locker

I have a 272 with an anchor locker and was wondering how hard it would be to put a wired remote inside there for when we are on the beach. Putting one on the swim platform should be no problem. Has anyone tried in the anchor locker yet?

i dont think it will live up there if you actually use the locker for your anchor you must be pretty tall as well as i am 6'2 and i cannot even reach mine when i am in 2 foot or so of water when i am tied off

I have one on the transom already. I am talking about when I am on a beach with the boat nosed up. Then I wont have to walk to the back on the boat to change the song. The only thing the anchor locker is used for is a T-bar and a rope to hold the boat when I am on the beach. How hard would it to be to run the wire back to the cockpit?

I'm 6'8"

you will need a splitter to be able to run both remotes not a big deal to run the wire back to the radio

I'm assuming that to run the wire behind the walls in the cuddy that there is a way to get behind it. Does that strip that goes down the cuddy walls just unscrew to run the wire behind everything and get to the anchor locker from the inside of the cuddy?

yes just loosen up the screws and you can pull it out a little to get the wire behind
