Default Need advice

I have a 1995 Hallett 300 with twin 502 EFI's. Was out running yesterday with 3/4 tank and 4 adults. At WOT turning 4400 RPMS running 68-69GPS. I have a set of Hydramotive 4 blade 15.5" 27 pitch props. I thought the motor was supposed to turn 5000 - 5200 rpm's? I feel with the right props I can get it to 75 or better. Any advice/help will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

im no prop expert, but that dia seems a little to big for your boat, try to borrow some merc bravo1 15.250 dia 26 p 4 blades,i think you will be,PLEASANTLY SUPRISED,but i think 75 might be pushing it.

I think Mike is right. The B1 props will work well but 71 is more probable.
Lab the 26 B1's for 72-74 mph.

to add to all this i just got my 33 zx with 500 efi's and it came with b1 28p 4 blade props and last weekend i was out with 4 adults just under 3/4 tank plus a full water tank....dont know total gallons there but at wot i was at 5000 rpms as gps at 74 on a flat lake. Now the weekend before with same amount of people and 1/2 tank with a 1" to 2" chop i got 80 at 5100- 5200 rpms. should i try a set of 26p props also?

Sure, try everything you have the oportunity to but, I think Labbing the 28's will reap the best rewards.
