Default Mercury Racing Hub Snubbers

Dumb question maybe but just want to make sure, I have a Mercury Racing hub and want to use it in my new Bravo One prop, it is missing the rubber snubber strips on the sides, does this really matter or does it just make it fit more snugly into the prop?

The rubber strips help keep the hub tight. You could probably use it without them, but I would call BBlades and get some new strips.

I made some myself very much like the original ones on it, seems to fit nice and tight, but I think I will order some new ones, thanks.
