What is more important to you the "lope" or overall performance of the cam?

That sure is a general question that requires much more detailed information to give any kind of answer.

A "good lope" will suck water back into the cylinders with stock exhaust and hydrolock your engine.

If you like "lope", you may want to invest in some aftermarket exhaust with dry tailpipes.

Are we talking flat tappet, hyd roller, or what?

Right now these motors are out of a family friends mud trucks that my dad got for a pretty good deal for me to put in this 1991 Scarab Viper 31ft I bought as a project. I was told that we would need to put a different size cam in them since the came out of a vehicle. Is this true?

Yes...it is true and you also need to change the exhaust valves to inconell. I have 2 (excellent condition) 502 mag roller cams...$50.00 each plus the ride. If you are running flat tappet cams, I would suggest that you run these Comp Cams... http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CCA-K11-244-4/ or http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CCA-11-244-4/ .

I have these cams in my motors and I am very pleased with them. They will give you the lope that you are looking for and they will work without any reversion issues with bone stock exhaust.

any questions...just holler and I will try to help.

Your not having problems with water getting in the engine with those large cams using stock manifolds? I couldn't tell for sure from the video, but maybe they aren't stock manifolds. Or is that why you have the idle up to 950?

Either way sounds good.
