Default b&m 250 blower carb plate question.

Does anyone know if there is or was a dominator / 4500 single carb plate made for the b&m 250 blowers? I don't really care for the 1/2" thick. 4150 to 4500 adaptor I have.....it looks pretty restrictive! Thanks, Mark

I dont think B&M ever made a actual 4500 style carb adapter plate. However, going with a add on 4500 to 4150 adapter, will smooth that transition out. I know exactly what you have going on there. A 4500 carb on the B&M adapter, causes the outer throttle bores to dead head into the plate. You can help that alot too by marking the plate up with dye, and taking a dremel to the plate.

I'm currently doing that to my top plate. I marked it with a sharpie and am going at it with a dremel. Fortunately, there's a ton of material in the plate so it will still be plenty strong. There's also A TON of material that has to be removed so it's not going to be a quick job but the gains should be worth while in the end. After spending the amount of $$$ I did with Nickerson on the carb, it would be pointless if I didn't open the plenum up so the carb works right! Thanks for the tip!
