Default Scarab SCS 454 vs 502 differences

Hello guys. I am a boating newbie and looking to purchase a SCS locally with a 454. What were the main differences aside from the engine? I am also having a difficult time to assess the fair market value for these boats. Canadian market.

This boat has about 220 hours on the hull, 40 hours on the merc 454 which was built by an official mercury authorized-shop, new drive(bravo one). Its in great shape. Owner is asking 25g, with a 03 continental trailer.

I would like opinions. I have read about looking for the stress around the cockpit and engine area.
