Default Burnt carb rebuildable

My motor had a 850 Demon carb on it that got was burnt when the boat caught on fire. Nothing was melted on the outside of the carb but I'm sure it was hot enough to affect the gaskets and o-rings along with the discoloration it turned. Is there a shop that can rebuild it pretty resonable or would I be better off looking for a used 850 carb?

take it apart and see what the guts look like. if outside isn't burnt-melted, it may well be salvagable. is any insurance involved? if they are paying, get new, then rebuild the other for a spare.

I had work done to restore the carb on my GT-350 by the Carburetor Shop in Ontario, CA. They did an excellent job. Email your questions to: [email protected]
