Default 525 efi Temp Sensor and Water Preasure Fitting

I have a pair of 525 efi's in an '07 Fountain and have no temp reading and water preasure on one motor. Am I correct that temp sensor is on lower left side of motor with three wires, blue, brown and maybe black? Is part number 805218T. Any way to check if sensor is bad short of removal as it will be a bear to get out? Also, does Fountain take water preasure off right side of oil cooler below what appears to be oil temp sensor? Any and all assistance would be appreciated. Thanks

On my 03 525efi, the water temp sensor is on the front left side of the motor on the crossover. The sensor has 2 wires (black/white) and a connector plug on the end, I think the original sensor had the wire colors you stated but can't remember. To get to the sensor you have to remove the air filter, coolant reservoir and the heat exchanger. The water pressure line is attached on the left top side of the oil cooler, there should be a water pressure sensor on it then attach the line to it. The oil temp sensor is on the right rear of the block on the bottom next to the oil pressure sensor. I think the configuration of your 07 should be the same as my 03.

Thank you RW. Makes more sense that oil temp would be by preas sensor and water on crossover. I am not used to these new electronic motors. Am I correct in assuming the water temp sensor feeds the temp guage and also the computer for fuel mixture or is there separate sensors for guage and computer feed? Thanks

Yes the water temp feeds the gauge but it goes through the AGI box first to convert it from digital to analog for the gauge. I belive the water temp reads to the computer for fuel mixture also but not positive. When my water temp sensor went out the gauge never moved, the boat would run but when you turned it off it would not crank back up unless I waited 30 min. Im assuming it was running way to rich because the computer thought the engine was cold the whole time.

Thanks again RW. Just sold a 47' Fountain named Joker Poker that came off Lake Murray.
