on my old formula the 10 pin plug wiring color differs from whats in the manual i have what wires i had hooked up and that worked right all seem correct with the manual but the wire color is off with the manual

is it safe to assume the pin out diagram hasnt changed over the years?

as i had a few wires some prevouis owners cut ad taped up for stupid reasons i went thru my engine harness and labeled everything that i didnt know i know i can go to the boat harness and follow it back to the dash but i dont want to have to do that if not needed

The codes have changed a bit over the years, in the link below it shows old & new. The sight has quite a bit of good info it is well worth book marking the home page.
