36 OL... 525 SC vs 502 Mag??
#1
Everything else being equal, just curious what the top speed would be for both boats? Also, any thoughts on which would be better? Most boating in Pittsburgh involves getting to your destination then rafting off with other people. But I do want to take my next boat to poker runs, great lakes and the ocean so I want something to have a little fun getting from point A to point B. Thanks guys.

Do a search on here for 36 outlaw threads and you'll see alot of numbers.
I can tell you from personal experience a 525sc boat will run 73+ with fuel, people, 4 blade props, deep drives. The same 502 boat will run 67 ish

Ive always wanted to stay away from blown motors. Especially used ones. But Grand Sport has two near identical boats I might go take a look at. The 525SC boat has a 10k lower asking price. That usually indicates something....

The 36 with the 525sc at GSC is member paulb32's boat. I can tell you that there is nothing wrong with the boat, it is in EXCELLENT condition!!! I'll let him chime in with the details, I imagine he has it priced aggressive because he is ready to move it!!!

RollwithIt,
Magic is right, the boat is priced aggressive to move. PM me and we'll talk. GSC has a ton of photo's on hand, and will have running video shortly. It will be at the Morris store next weekend. There are very few around fully optioned like this one.
And search on the 525sc's. They are great motors, and tons of positive thoughts on them on here. They are thirstier than the 502mpi's.

I was thinking that might be your boat when I saw your location and you have a 98 36 with 525sc. Cant be too many of them floating around. lol So far the info I've been reading on the 525s is good. Thirsty is a common statement but I understand thats the nature of the beast. If you want the speed, you gotta feed it. Ive seen some of the pics they have of the boat and did watch a 10 minute or so video for it. Looks sharp from what Ive seen. I'll hit you up with a PM to get more details.
