Engine builder wants me to use straight 30w (dino oil) in my engines? Which do you folks recommend?

Powerplay- I got the wix filters , I just don't know if I should use Rotella t1, or Delvac or a straight 30w Penzoil. The Merc oil is sythetic so 25w-40 so I could use that.

Are you saying use Napa 30w oil?

Rockfish- I have roller cams - that Delvac is good to use? My temps run low no thermostats in the engines.

Ask your builder. Mine told me to use the napa 40. No synthetic. A few of my buddies have bigger power than me and it's all we use.

Factory recommended straight 40w. I ran Mobil 15-50 in my Stinger. Zero measurable wear after 350 hours.

Wan,
If your engine builder said to use straight 30, why would you even dream of using something else ??????? As far as brand goes, I would ask him which he prefers and use that without question.

Just my opinion,
