Hi,
I have a Verado 350 sci mounted on a stainless marine gorilla jackplate with 4,25 inches setback. With the engine mounted in the lowest hole, I get the best cruise speed. Approx 1,5 - 2 mph faster than if I mount it one hole up. However, the best top speed is with the powerlift 2,5 inches up at wot with the engine mounted one hole up. If I am to keep the best cruise speed, I have to jack the lift up approx 3,25 inches.
So the question if the added stress with the lift jacked higher is to be concerned about, or should I mount my engine down one hole, get my cruise speed back, and do my wot runs jacked up 3,25 inches?
Cheeers and thanks, Toffen
