Hi. Fresh battery's in my boat, had it out a couple of weekends now in battery 1 position only. Today, about to start to drop the trim to take off and it's slow and then won't move. Wait a few minutes and same thing. So, I try to switch to battery 2 or all, and it operates like it should.
So, do you think I have an alternator problem? Bad battery 1, or user error for not using ALL, this whole time?

The answer could be yes to all or just one.
The way to find out if it you alternator is working properly is to load the electrical system up and check it with a voltmeter. The alternator output should be somewhere in the range of 13.5-14.1 give or take. If you're worried about the battery just simply pull it and take it to a NAPA, AutoZone or anyone one of them and test the battery.
We run ours on ALL, but I have heard that could be hard on the alternator also if they require a big charge. Hope this helps and good luck.
