Almost finished with this project. I need a mini starter and oil cooler and it's ready to drop in the boat. Should be a big improvement over the mild 454 I had in it last summer.

LOL - yes, that should be quite an upgrade from a mild 454! Is that a B&M 250? A friend of mine ran a similar setup with a Nickerson boost referenced 950. He was getting around 80 MPH from a late 80's Baja Force.

Man I’m jealous. I have a similar build but nowhere near completion & the season has already begun. How soon will you be in the water with this?

If everything goes right, towards the end of next month. I'm waiting till I have the cooler and starter before I drop it in because it will make the install much easier. It's killing me seeing all my friends out there with their boats but hopefully it wont be much longer now. I've been working on it sense last October. There where a few changes along the way and some unexpected expenses.

My boat went 75mph last year on gps with the 454 (flat tappet hyd. cam, 396 heads, dart intake with a holley 750dp) in it. This ones a 516 with merlin heads, B&M 250 blower and a Bob Madara hyd. roller cam. The carb is done by Nickerson.
