Hey guys, I have a question about insuring a custom built jet ski. Plenty of people are building aftermarket stand up jet ski hulls, that do not come with HIN numbers (Rickter, EME, SuperFreak, Etc...). People register these skis as Homebuilt in their respective states. Because of this, they are difficult to get insured (Values of 15-30+k).
Any sponsor here have a program that would allow people to get these skis insured? I'd love to build one at some point, but this might be a deal breaker.
Here's a thread discussing some of the options people have tried.

I might, I just have to pull the underwriting manual. I will follow back up here shortly.

No problem Stacy, I passed your info onto several people at the Daytona Freeride this year, so there's a good chance! I'm in the process of building a custom ski myself, so I may need your services at some point too. After seeing what a custom hull is capable of, I'm sold!

Are there any guidelines I should keep in mine through out my build to make sure I can get insured?
Thanks

Offshore: Very cool! I'm interested in seeing how the Backie Chan's turn out running right. I'm a fan of what he's doing, but the showing in Daytona was pretty weak (Motors not running right).
Not sure if you already know about it, but make sure to make it out for this:

Yes, thank you so much! We've been getting several calls! Given out some great quotes and have started to bind them too... Love that we can help out these guys
