Default running two gps's

I was told by the person at the place I bought my 2nd. gps that I can run two off of one receiver. Both are hooked up and the digital one says no satellite, I disconnected the 2nd. one still says no sat. I unplug the receiver and it will say no data. My thinking is something messed up on the receiver with the two gps attached. It worked fine last year with just one attached.

You should be able to run many units off of one reciever. I is only a data signal not power. It may be that you wern't sapposed to hook up all of the wires on the second unit.
I have a GPS and radar and only hooked up two wires to the radar.
