Default ***Skyway Bridge Terrorist Threat!!!!!

Apparantly, two "non-american" men were spotted lowering a suspicious package from the center span this morning. The bridge in both directions is shut down and a no-fly zone has been established!

Just an FYI for those of you unfamiliar, the Skyway bridge is a huge bridge, almost 200 feet tall at the center span(so it's not like they were lowering a crab trap or fishing) which is a major thouroughfare for the area. It runs north and south from south Pinellas county down towards Bradenton and Sarasota.

Sorry Shane.
I don't know why, it is working for me. Anyway, here is the text:

"The Florida Highway Patrol and Pinellas County officials responded to a call this morning that reported two suspicious men on the bridge.

The bridge was closed for about an hour as officiails investigated a potential threat.

"We closed the bridge in both directions," said Sterling King, a spokesperson with the FHP. "There are people at the site now investigating what happened."
In addition to closing the bridge to traffic, the Coast Guard and FDLE shut down shipping lanes and air space near the expansion.

A driver phoned the FHP to report two "Non-American" men standing near the top of the span. The men were lowering a box-like package into the water.

Traffic was backed over a mile in both directions before it was re-opened.

Stayed tuned to Bay News 9 for more details on this breaking story. "

I think the call was a hoax, but we can't be too careful. If someone wanted to blow the bridge, they would almost certainly do it from the water. We were under it yesterday.
