Got a 1986 2.4L Merc off shore thats going on my 22ft Demon Hull that i need a fuel pump for and am not looking to spend $750 + shipping brand new. Anyone know of a decent replacement that will still have the right fuel pressure? Wanting to get it wet soon!! Ser # A953452
Part # is 93860A6. The old number was a 1 at the end instead of a 6.

Is your Merc a carb offshore or an EFI?
If it's a carb, you just need a pump that's internally regulated to 7psi.
If you mount it in your bilge, you technically need a marine rated pump (just letting you know).
Many folks (myself included) have run Holley red and blue pumps with no problems.
If you have an EFI, then you need a higher pressure pump. There are many these days to choose from. Check Summit.com or Jegs.com. You may need a bypass regulator though.
