i love that we live in a country where a 565hp marine engine is considered "entry level" !

Well done interview IMO. You cut in to ask about the quad cams on the smaller engines and got a good response.

Question How much is that Doggy in the window?

Just curious what this simple entry level Mercury 565 engine and its computer controlled drive costs? Got a feeling it ain't quite entry level priced. Does anybody care to guess or does someone on OSO really know? Think it's kind of importent for those entry level performance boaters to know.

Best Regards,
Ray @ Raylar

Why does Mercury Racing go from the 502 platform to a 540? Why wouldnt they stay with the same platform in the 850 & 1075 and use the 557 cu inch? Wouldnt that make sense? A normally aspirated monster?

Not entry level enough I guess? LOL

Cost, more machine work on the block. They stuck with the stock bore to avoid that.
