Default Delete PCV

I just switched over the transom headers to through the transom. In doing so I had to order valve covers that fit under the new headers as the old Eddie Marine tall ones did not fit. I bought KE 2 piece alve covers. These come with breathers rather than a provision for a PCV. I am going to run the breathers and delete the PCV valve. I have seen many discussions about the advantages and did advantages of using and not using a PCV valve. I have not seen a topic on weather it was appropriate to plug the PCV port and what the best way is to do so. Can anybody shed light on this?

i have only ever seen PCV on a couple of sportfishermen. perf boats don't run with any real amount of engine vacuum except when docking. that is why most just have vent hoses that are attached so they blow out at the spark arrestor. sort of neutral crankcase vent.

Default PCV Delete

The motor is an old 454 Chevy in a jet boat. It has always had the PCV on it. I had rebuilt the motor some time ago and the PCV just stayed on the motor. Since the the new valve covers don't have a provision for it I was just going to delete it from my set up. I really wanted to know if I should plug the carburetor port the PCV line attaches to and how I should go about doing so?

I have seen sveral run PCV valves including Merc HP500. They used a PCV valve located in the bottom rear of the DART 6200 intake.
