My bravo one upper gear housing is making a rattle or clanking sound just @ idle & more noticible in forward gear & while running on the hose. You can not hear it in the water. It goes away when you reach 1200 RPM. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

You've got a flexible coupler between the engine and drive. The engine delivers its power in pulses. With no resistance on the drive, each pulse winds up the coupler, and accelerates the drive. Then, once the coupler is unloaded the drive gears hit the other side of their lash, winding up the coupler the other way. So the drive just keeps bouncing back and forth.
This is all assuming nothing is actually wrong like a shot bearing or broken gear tooth. Not to be sarcastic or insensitive, but it would not be the first Bravo drive to fail.

Is the drive trimmed way up when your running it on the hose?
