Question LH or RH???

Is there any advantage in spinning a prop lh or rh on a single engine boat? Speed, handling? 496ho, b1x. 28' step hull.

single engine, no real diff. right rot as most common dates back to old days of single screw shaft boats for docking. also why drivers station ended up on the right.

If the boat lists badly, oposite rotation can help.

My boat is a center console and dont notice any "list" at all. Bob at Advantage boats had told me that guys were spinning props to the left to pick up a couple mph. Am going to a 24p from a 22p bravo and just curious. Also Brett, if I loose too many rpm's with the 24, you could do some labbing to regain rpm's right?

Spinning to the left puts pressure on the top cap of your drive. That being said I spin mine to the left because my boat listed to the port side when running a RH prop (seemed to diminish at high speeds). May have just been the Hydromotive prop...not sure as it was the last RH prop I ran on it.

THOR,

Yes we can help with the rpm gain.
Let us know how it goes.
