Default cant stand boat brokers... story

so i call on a boat...

left message at the company... listing broker no call back

call again next day
get his cell num

call and he answers

says he has gotten an numerous call and one offer...

my question is this? is offer... secret? sealed?... no other offers to be taken? until the current offer plays out?

should the boat seller not know he has another cash offer? possibly higher

or the deal closed until that original offer plays out?

boat not under contract at this time as far as i know

this is just a regular sale... not some sort of repo listing/auction

maybe im over reacting.... i stayed very calm... broker got rude

maybe im in the wrong (been known to happen)

As the seller I would want to know about ALL offers on the table. The question is, was the previous offer accepted by the seller? If so, that offer now becomes an agreement to buy/sell and you are out of luck. If it has NOT been accepted, seller should be made aware.

Sounds like he's gotten a friend that wants to buy it, or has had a lot of tire kickers and is simply annoyed with them calling. At that point, its his responsibility to turn the boat back to the owner to sell elsewhere.

I have a great broker in Stony Point, NY that was awesome to work with and treated me like I was Donald Trump, and I showed up in a beat up Geo Metro to Look at the boat. If youre looking for something, PM me and I'll forward you his contact info.

Based on your history, I'm sure that boat brokers can't stand you either!!!!!

LOL, good luck with your search!

But surveyors LOVE him.

I think he holds the record at 7 surveys in a summer with no purchase. Though at least one the broker screwed him then too.

This coming from the boatless wonder!

The 7th survey netted me a boat... Which I should never have bought

And I did get screwed on the one deal BAD
