Default Clipping 380 K-planes?

I probably should have done it long ago, but what do I need to be looking for as far as a measurement prior to performing surgery on them?

I have a cut pair done by Skater (they are yellow) I would trade if you like.

The real question is; Why do I need to clip them other than to keep the propellers out of them?

That's the only reason I can think of. I guess depending on how they are mounted, hitting the prop may be possible. i have a skinny boat, so I guess that's why they cut them.

Can't you find someone with 280's to get the shape and dimensions? The 280's have the inside angled for prop/drive clearence on boats with twins.

Here are some picks,I played with mine in all positions and it will not hit.

Note! The Bmax rear cap will not let me have full turning radius,So it lacks about 1 1/2-2 inchs,So if I change out my ster rams to get full turnning I would prob have to cut more off.But to me if I had to cut much more it would be kinda funny looking.

hope this helps

Rob

Thanks Strip. I think I'm on the right track, just sure hate cutting them up.
