Default 525EFI factory headers on 496HO??

Can you fit factory 525EFI CMI headers on 496HO's? I found this thread about putting 496 CMIs on the 525... http://www.speedwake.com/forums/showthread.php?t=60902 ...but nothing on the opposite. Drilling new holes to fit the header on wouldn't be an issue, but I have a feeling they wouldnt line up with the corsa q&q... And I will need it boating in certain areas of Michigan. I posted on Q&A but seems that gets little traffic. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks-
AJ

I don't know the anwer to your question. But you may want to do a search for the issues that the cmi 525 headers have with leaking. There may be better choices.

Would be buying them from a friend, they would be sent to CMI and pressure tested first... But I know what you mean, the Dana marine headers seem to be a good value

Why would you want to in the first place? The 496's don't need them, so why bother with the hassle?

Full throttle marine did back to back dyno pulls with and without aftermarket headers, gained 25-30hp with Dana headers... Plus they look cool which adds like 50 hp

I wouldn't get near anything CMI makes...they lost the trust of many on this board with the crap they pulled.

If the motors are going to be otherwise stock, stick with the stock exhaust.

On paper people are showing big power gains. In real life you will not see it. BTW, you can pressure test them yourself in a water tub and regulated compressed air. I put CMIs on a stock 496 and saw ZERO gain in anything except looks.

was thinking about having whipple do the stage 2 tune and adding headers... was hoping for 2-3 mph (twin engine setup)... we will see, maybe I'll have to do some prop work with Bblades as well, headers would be last though.
