OK had both my motors rebuilt...my builder says both are right turning one does not run backwards....come out of a 1980 excalibur 330 454's...isn't one of them supposed to turn backwards or is the reverse rotation back in the transmission or out drives...it has merc trans. with trs outdrives

yes, drive is set up with the driven gear behind vert shaft on one and in front on the other. good luck with the transom job. you could change your screen name to 38(termine)X
