I'm slowly getting to learn the whole Mefi1 system and I'm curious about the data master/slave connection. What does it do and why do the two computers need to be linked? What purpose does it serve?

So does that mean both comps run off one ecu? Since there isn't electronic throttle how can the comps being linked help? If it is indeed running off one ecu's tune then can you ultimately have two different tunes and depending on which is master/slave both could run either? Sorry for the dumb questions, I'm new to this.

Did the link change anything at running for the slave ??
Is it only for Quickstop and Audiowarning ??

If I remember correctly it puts both engines in a safe mode if one has an issue.
