2.4 Bridgeports aren't the greatest, right? It appears most Awesomes are I/Os; how do the outboards run?

I run a 30ft Awesomecat with 3 - 2.5 efi Mercurys.
Before I bought the boat it had 2.4's on the back,
Bought it, less the 2.4s & put 2.5s on the back.
Best: If you can get the boat less the motors, that would be a good idea.
3l efi would be the best motors for that.
The 2.4s are great motors but on the liter boats.
With the weight of that boat you need torque.
Or buy complete & onces the motors blow, change them to 2.5s.
First one 26ft. I have seen with outboards but it should run good & the price it right.
my 2 cents.
Let us know what you do.
Note: Are they 25" mids., 20" would be better?
