Going to OC for week of the 4th. Other than dockside bars...where are the cool hangout spots, sandbars....

Also, are there any trouble spots to watch out for?

Not that many dockside bars really, nobody really hangs on sandbars, the bay is very shallow in alot of spots if you leave the marked channels so do your best not to!

Sometimes you find a decent group of people on the north end of assateague island near the inlet but further south is all wildlife protection area so you can't take the boat up on shore.

It is really a fishing town. You will be lucky to see 10 go fast boats in a week's time.

All that said, it is beautiful there, I love it. Grew up there every summer for about 25 yrs until the family started fighting over the house.

Harborside is a neat little bar, seacrets during the day there is a dock in the bay and a jet boat will come out to pick you up.

Been a great time so far! Seen a lot of very nice go fasts...cigs, donzis, couple cats....
Had to get my jaw scooped up off the sand at Seacrets a few times...unreal!!!
