Im running a TRS upper and SSM II lower and making about 600 HP from a twin turbo charged BBC in a 80's 38' Scarab. What are people recommendations for gear oil for the outdrive? Mercury oil, Amsoil, Bravo Shop????

I'm using Bravo Shop for engine & drives. Others w/ much more power seem to have good results, plus John is a great guy & local to the area so try to support where i can. Maybe if i buy enough i will get a ride in the BT some day.

It is good to see that you have it running.I always use Merc High Perfomance in My TRS Stuff. A drive shower cant hurt either, my drive was chalky white before adding a shower years ago.

I have always run the Merc High Performance Gear Lube. As for drive showers the TRS circulates it's oil from the upper to lower continuously so drive showers really aren't needed. That's why you don't see many out there on the market.
