The Quad Cities has a new powerboat club this year! We are just getting organized this year and membership options will be available in 2013.

Many may recall the area used to host a poker run to raise money for Make-A-Wish. To keep a great event operating, the club has decided to create the QC Powerboat 2012 Fun Run to benefit this same charity. The event will be hosted at Lindsay Park Yacht Club in Davenport, IA on July 14th, 2012.

There will be a short and long run along the Mississippi River. Post run registrants will enjoy a party with buffet dinner, raffle, silent auction and live band!

Yes - 12 Rooms have been blocked off for our out of town guests. Ask for the QCPC room block or group code #RQC0713. 8 Boat Slips have been blocked off but must be firmed by Friday, June 29th, 2012.

Gearing up for this weekend's run, looks like we're going to get some great boating weather to enjoy! Hope to see everyone from last year's event & some new faces (boats)

wife and I plan on attending and she is a picture taking freak! She has one of those $$ cameras with a nice zoooom lenz!
Hope to get out front right out of the canal in Leclaire and get pics of the fast boats as they get by us. Will post pics here next week so get on the stick just past the 80 bridge and let your ponies sing! Bet she gets some good pictures of your boat.
P.S. our boat is capable of 60+ so ya gotta catch us first.

only 60+?? your gonna be in the middle of that pack... I got friends with boats on the river that cruise at 60 all day long. You want to see a fast boat on the river find the Hustler and try to stick with that guy 100 mph+.

We see him out most weekend, my 9 yr old loves it, fast boat! AND that's why we hope to get out of the canel ahead of the faster boats. better pictures while they go past us.

Thank you to all that were able to participate in this year's run. It was a good time and for a great cause!
