Default New project

My son and I came across a Webbcraft Offshore T454 sitting at a local repair shop. I know, Webbcraft?? Off brand, out of business company. Well the old man that owned it died. He had just stuck about 8K into it redoing the interior and it never even went on the water. Downside, missing one engine. It does have nice complete bravo 1 drives and the other 454 is running. It comes with a nice tri axle trailer and the guy will deliver it to my shop for free. Total cost to us is $2000. I love driving bigger boats. I ran 34ft patrol boats in the gulf, some with twin jets, some with Konrad outdrives and had a blast. For the money I figure we can't lose. Even if we ended up parting it out we will be money ahead, the drives alone would cover our investment. It should be here next week, so after we give it a bath I will post a few pictures.
This would be a lot more fun than the 20 footer we have.

drives, motor, trailer are worth more than 2k. on other hand, webbcrafts aren't renkens. they don't suck, they just ain't beaks. most all companys are out of business, or were at one time. the only parts you would need from the manufacturer are hull parts. if it needs hull parts it is probably worthless anyway. sounds like a home run. hit it and run the bases!!!

There will be 3 of us plus the power washer attacking it next weekend. Some good old soap and water along with some elbow grease will make it look a bit different.

Well, I finally got it home today. Cut off the shrink wrap and threw a little soap at it. There is a long way to go, but I know this is going to turn out nicer than I thought!
