Frankenstein,
With the advent of Facebook, there probably wont be much chatter on the BBS's anymore. Add to the fact that maybe the racers woke up a little and realized that the BBS's have done more damage than good for the sport. Most of the pics and info are over there on Fan pages(links that have been posted here on OSO numerous times) Also with the new and incredibly improved website(www.oparacing.org) all info concerning OPA can be found there.

That would be shame then. Many of us dont do the face book thing and depend on reports from these sites. I checked every day since Friday to see whats happening and nothing at all. If you dont want people to know there is a race going on then there doing a great job!!! As far as I know the orgs dont have a marketing person thats in charge of these things but rather fans are the only people posting any updates. Im ok with that, its better than nothing. Its absolutely insane to me being in business that the orgs dont see the benefit of this info being put out to fans at home on a min of 2 times a day during the event and every 15 min during a race. Many of us racers have friends at the race and are sitting home and checking the sites for info to see how our friends and favorite teams are doing. Its all unofficial reporting in my book but its something.
I will make a side wager with anyone that if you posted regular at the race site you would get a load of hits on that thread that weekend. Isnt that what the race towns and producers want. Am I missing something?
