I had a rattle noise comming from the starborad drive last time out. i figured it was the ujoints/gimbal/driveshaft. so i replaced all thoes items and stuck the alignment tool in and it was dead on. there is no noise while turning at idle with drives trimmed in or trimed out to the limit switch. when i increase to a fast idle, 1500-1800 rpm there is a rattle noise when turning hard each side, more noticable when turning to the left. there is no noise when the drive is straight.
where can i check next ? i want to remove the top cap and check the bearings.
when i had the drive off, the gear lash felt good and there was no play in the yoke on the drive. prop turns smooth and there are no notchy feeling areas while i was turning.
thanks

think i might have solved the issue. after lots of reading here on OSO and google i saw a few posts referring to the coupler needing grease. so i threw about 20 shots into the fitting and now she is silent ! could be a stroke of luck but hey ill take it.
the guy i purchased it from said there was a complete service done to it.... must have forgot 1 fitting. i suppose that now i have gained a spare bravo driveshaft and knowledge. plus all the "usual suspect" parts are new and that also gives me a piece of mind.
