title says it all. fortunatly i only got a half mile before i saw wheel wobbling and saw bearing cap go flying, so i got back home. but it was an unpleasant start to the weekend...

Happened to us last year. it took out the spindle on custom length axles. Had to buy two new axles so they would match.

Fortunately, the new axles have those sealed Vortex hubs, so they are essentially maintenance free.

I have the oil bath hubs on my 05 extreme trailer , and , knock on wood , they have been absolutely maintenance and trouble free in over 7 years of towing ...and I tow over 700 miles round trip every time I go out .
