so put a new fuel pump on my gen 5 330hp in my 24 outlaw and it was reading 12 psi!!! i called merc as my work is a dealer and he said . ( yes that is a prob with our new pumps) lol so i put a regulator on it at 5 psi and let it be. the prob im having is i allways have to set the psi when i use the boat as its all ways moving? set it to 5 and ill go out and it will be at 3 psi turn it back to 5 and it will stay but when i first start the boat and its cold it will say 7 psi and ill have to turn it back down. kind of sucks. any body else have this prob? what should i do?

First I would the right PSI pump. About 6.5 is what I use with Edelbrock carbs. If you want to use the regulator try tapping on it when setting the psi. Helps the pin seat better and like it should.
