Cracked Engine Hood - 2001 Baja 25 Outlaw

Looking for a replacement fiberglass engine hood for a 2001 Baja 25 Outlaw. I left mine up while pulling out of the garage and cracked it all the way across down near the piano hinge when it hooked on the garage door opener.

I know parts are impossible to find for these boats, but anyone got one out there?

Sorry, hard lesson learned but your accident reminded me of Clark Griswald in the movie Christmas Vacation.

If you find one (donor boat) I'm looking for a pair of Aero Bolster seats. Perhaps we (or more of us) can purchase a "parts boat". I have a long wish list.

I can't believe that they don't make parts for a ten year old boat. Isn't there a law that parts must be available for 20 years after manufacture? There is for automobiles...

I can't even replace a faulty Gaffrig trim gauge on my dashboard or the transducer on my depth finder, as they are no longer in production.

As far as I can tell, there is not a single part available for my boat, other than standard Mercruiser parts. Very frustrating...

Sully,

Send your lid here to Ohio where the boat was built, we CAN fix it. We can also build the Aero Bolsters from scratch.

Thanks XT - Hood is still functional for now - I'll take the hood off when boating season is over here in Wisconsin. What is your shipping address?

Very frustrating! I've done the same thing with topper doors on 7 ft garage doors.

Where do you do your boating?
