I wish they would explain how is this by cigarette. If you want to be a trusted broker why would you make this claim with out explaining how was it rigged by them?. No way is the actual fiberglass by Cigarette.
I am not trying to start an issue just asking

I have zero experience with an Avanti. The boat owner was persistent that it is a Bullet hull and a cut down REV top deck. Obviously your are in the know, please inform us!

Classified ad changed. Sorry for the mistake, I was misinformed and ran with it. My apologies.

Avanti boats were made in Palmyra NJ off rt. 73. I visited there in the mid 90s to look at a 27 but after seeing the operation decided to go another route. As far as the brokers who listed this boat they have been known to bend the truth in the past. I was looking for a Fountain a couple of years ago and found one here at home in NJ. It was a 10 meter (Motley Crew) that was for sale at a local performance boat dealer. I knew every inch of this boat but could not come to terms with them. The owner of the boat traded it to these guys and they had it advertised with much different power then it actually had but at a better price then the owner wanted for it. I called Brett and told him I wanted to buy the boat and that it would be a quick sale as I knew everything about the boat but questioned the advertised power. From that point his whole attitude changed and he wanted no part of selling me that boat...So be aware of who you deal with and do your homework. Just saying

As for the Avanti, I made some calls today and changed the ad. The owner of the boat seemed to have great knowledge of his boat and its past so I went with it. My mistake. As for the Motley Crew boat. It was taken on trade and we were given information that from the sounds of it was not true. I go with what I am told until I find out otherwise. No funny business here what so ever. We try and run the most honest dealership possible. End of story!

I'm not trying to get in the middle of a pissing contest, but I have dealt with Brett and his crew directly and know quite a few others that have as well. He runs a first class operation and takes pride in what he does. He takes care of people before and after the sale. I've seen him go above and beyond numerous times to make things happen for people. Just my .02 can't please everyone.

No issues you stepped up and seem straight forward. I beleive ther also was an Avanti company out of FLA (late 80's) that made large center Counsel boats with twin or triple v-8 outboards.
