Default 47 Fountain - how do you plug the drain to keep water from coming into the cabin????

Its been raining here for weeks... amazing. I have water in the cabin and looks like most every other 47 owner has the same problem... factory defect???

For those that are experiencing the same thing... please let me know what you did to fix it. I am having new carpet installed and need to dry everything and permanently fix it before installing all new carpet.

Thanks in advance!!!

Check the anchor locker on the bow. I had some moisture problems under front mattress when I first got my '99 and found the corner of the anchor banging around had punctured the glass between locker and cabin. Sealed it with marine tex and no problem for seven years I owned the boat. It was the best boat I have ever owned.

You keep your boat sitting out in the rain?

Yes... I live on the water here in Florida... no dry dock needed. Trying to get a permit on a 50' dock roof around here is like winning the lotto... twice.
